A new McKinsey & Company study, which surveyed people in Australia, China, India, Japan and South Korea, found that Australians are the most relaxed about climate change in the region.

Specifically, only 12% of Australians surveyed said they were worried about climate change in the second quarter of 2026, down from 19% in the previous quarter.

Australians are clearly waking up to the truth that there is no climate ‘crisis’ and that climate change is a perfectly normal cyclical process that needs to be effectively managed but not exaggerated for political or monetary gain.

Like people in other countries, Australians are more concerned about the rising cost of living, with 60% citing it as a concern, up from 51% three months earlier.

Other economic concerns were the ability to make ends meet (30%), and job security (16%). Both figures were slightly higher than in the previous year.

“Persistent inflation pressures and expectations of additional interest rate increases in Australia were prevalent. As such, inflation remained the dominant economic concern,” the report said.

Amid high inflation pressures at home and abroad, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has lifted the official cash rate three times in 2026, taking it to 4.35%.

The survey also found that Australian consumers were cutting back on spending across many categories of goods and services, with fuel one of the few exceptions.

“Consumers in Australia reported some of the weakest semi-discretionary and discretionary spending intentions … particularly across apparel, restaurants, travel, home furnishings, and entertainment,” the report said.

Also facing major spending cutbacks are beauty products (37%), vehicles (32%), fast food meals (45%), and short-term rentals (49%). Concern about healthcare costs was cited by 18% of Australian respondents.

21% of Australians said they were concerned about armed conflicts, up from 14% following unprovoked military aggression from Communist China within the region.

Australians are becoming acutely aware that the propaganda spruiked by the Albanese Labor-Greens government – and grifters within the renewable energy sectors – is simply designed to promote fear within the community.

By doing so, they hope to achieve their objectives even though these are creating unnecessary cost-of-living pressures and trauma within our younger community.

In particular, the high cost of energy is impacting on everything produced and distributed throughout our nation – and this is passed on to consumers.

It’s time for us to all push back and say “enough is enough” – we demand low-cost energy, as we’ve enjoyed in the past.

And that can only be achieved via coal, oil and natural gas combined with nuclear energy and relatively small amounts of solar and wind.

Australia is already in line with current worldwide energy supply and consumption except, of course, in terms of nuclear, which is still banned here.

  • Basically, we are already on the right path but the Albanese government, led by Energy & Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen, is determined to destroy our economy and regional communities with unnecessarily high levels of renewables.

They would rather do that than use our huge coal, oil, gas and uranium resources buried in the ground under our feet.

It’s total madness – and we have to pay for it!
