NASA satellite data and long-term studies reveal that up to 50% of Earth’s vegetated lands have become significantly greener over the last few decades.
This increase in leaf area is largely driven by the CO₂ fertilization effect, whereby higher levels of carbon dioxide boost photosynthesis.
Better still, a revealing new graph from Dr. William Happer and Dr Richard Lindzen dismantles the false narrative that blames CO₂ for an impending climatic catastrophe.
Government policies rooted in climate alarmism – net zero mandates, energy restrictions, subsidies for wind and solar, and regulatory overreach – have been devastating to many countries, including Australia.
These mandates have forced electricity and fuel prices to skyrocket, closed reliable power plants, outsourced manufacturing jobs, and burdened families and businesses with higher costs of living.
While delivering no environmental benefits, climate policies have contributed to energy poverty, a less reliable power grid, and a transfer of wealth from working families to government-favored renewables industries.
Drs. Lindzen and Happer, Physics Professors Emeriti at Princeton University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology respectively, show through their new CO2 Coalition graph below how CO₂’s warming power rapidly decreases with increasing atmospheric concentration.
CO₂’s greenhouse effect is the result of its interaction with the infrared of the electromagnetic spectrum, which is now largely saturated at today’s CO₂ concentration of about 420 parts per million (ppm).
With so little unaffected infrared radiation left to interact with CO₂ molecules, adding more of the gas is having a trivial effect and will produce even less warming in the future.

The following facts relating to atmospheric physics complement the CO2 Coalition’s messages about the benefits of carbon dioxide and the fossil fuels that emit it:
- CO₂ is plant food necessary for life, it’s not a pollutant. Atmospheric levels remain historically low by geological standards. Elevated CO₂ has fueled global greening, increased crop yields, and improved food security for billions.
- Fossil fuels have powered unprecedented human prosperity while causing no detectable rise in extreme weather, or in damages from it.
- Water vapor and clouds dominate the greenhouse effect. As a trace gas, CO₂ is a minor player. Natural factors like solar variability exert far stronger influence.
Climate policies, sold as ‘saving the planet’, have instead restricted access to affordable energy – the foundation of all global economies.
They limit mobility, economic opportunity, and personal choice, especially harming the world’s poor.
By contrast, embracing abundant, reliable energy from fossil fuels and advancing nuclear power allows societies to flourish, innovate, and adapt.
The CO2 Coalition, a group of more than 200 independent experts, exists to restore scientific integrity.
Their work shows that real-world observations are consistent with research in saturation physics, not flawed computer models predicting catastrophe.
Dismissing this evidence, as alarmists do to justify an agenda of greater government control, undermines free inquiry, open debate, and honest governance.
The Happer/Lindzen graph equips citizens to question expensive, ineffective policies and demand evidence-based decisions.
CO₂ supports thriving ecosystems and human advancement. Rejecting alarm-driven restrictions restores energy sovereignty, economic vitality, and individual liberty.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation (WHO) continues to do what it does best – disseminate fake news to fit the UN’s narrative of impending climate Armageddon.
Its latest hysterical announcement relates to recent heatwaves in various parts of the world. It claimed that climate change poses a “catastrophic threat to human health.”
This is based on a study that showed heat deaths have increased in recent years.
However, as well-respected climate scientist Bjorn Lomborg advised in a recent article, what WHO omitted to state is that deaths from cold weather have declined by up to 250 times as much as heat deaths have risen – given regional variations.
He also pointed out that many of the reported heat deaths, especially in Europe, are caused by the reluctance of governments to support and encourage the use of air-conditioning – usually for ideological reasons.
Across much of Europe, fewer than 20% have air conditioning – compared to roughly 90% in the USA and 70% in Australia.
Electricity priced into the stratosphere by “green” mandates made cooling a luxury, and then the bureaucrats made luxury a sin.
Spain has even legally mandated how public buildings set their thermostats.
In Italy, neighbours turn each other in for the ‘crime’ of an illegal A/C unit!
One Greek heat wave last summer spiked wholesale power prices 45% in a single day and put the entire grid on emergency alert due to renewables not being capable of carrying the load in hot weather.
The same happened in Spain and Portugal last year with blackouts lasting up to 16 hours. 60% of their shared grid is fuelled by unreliable, intermittent renewable energy and this collapsed the entire grid. The incident was deemed the most severe European power grid failure in over 20 years.
Despite this, our Climate Change & Energy Minister Chris Bowen has legislated a target to achieve even more renewable energy by 2030 …. 82%!
Guess what will happen then – or even more likely before then?
It’s no wonder he’s earned the moniker ‘Blackouts’ Bowen!
Politicians like him just don’t understand – or don’t want to understand – that while climate change is real, it’s a normal part of Earth’s history. There is no climate crisis!
