The new definition of madness: “Throwing taxpayers money at a problem that does not exist in order to provide an outcome that will make no difference!”
And that’s exactly what our Minister for Climate Change & Energy, Chris ‘Blackouts’ Bowen (pictured above), is doing!
Global warming is a naturally recurring event – as is global cooling (see chart below). It’s no different to the day/night cycle or seasonal changes.
There is no climate crisis. The current warming phase certainly needs to be effectively managed, as it was by our ancestors. The difference is they had a high level of commonsense that’s sadly lacking today – especially within our current government.
Global epidemiological studies, including landmark research published in The Lancet, support the statistic that roughly nine times as many global deaths are associated with cold temperatures compared to hot temperatures …. warmer is better for us!
Whatever we do as a nation will make absolutely no difference as we only produce just over 1% of global emissions, which are increasing as a result of developing nations utilising fossil fuels to drag them out of poverty or improve their economies.
All the above are indisputable facts that Bowen and his fellow climate cultists simply will not acknowledge.
And that’s why it is total madness going down the Albanese government’s economy wrecking renewables-only path.
And Bowen is the driving force behind this madness. He is obsessed with the notion that renewables are the answer to all our energy problems and that nuclear energy should not be utilized despite its growing usage throughout the rest of the world.

One of Bowen’s ludicrous ideas is to require data centres to utilize or at least support renewables despite the fact that data centres need constant and reliable power – not intermittent unreliable power provided by sun and wind.
Queensland and the Northern Territory have refused to sign up to this nonsense, which challenges Bowen’s comments earlier this year when he claimed that “Energy Ministers across the country are all of the same mind on this matter.”
The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) forecasts that data centres will account for around 10% of Australia’s total demand by 2050.
Australia is currently home to 162 operational data centres nationally, predominantly in Sydney and Melbourne, accounting for around 2% of current grid-supplied electricity use. Ninety more are currently planned.
Bowen has also taken no tangible steps to increase our energy supplies on a longer-term basis. He is against increasing our in-the-ground supplies of reliable coal, gas and oil – preferring instead to rely on supplies from the Middle East, Asia and the USA.
All of these supply sources would likely be blocked in the event of conflict in our region as we depend a great deal on sea-based bulk deliveries – including of food and other critical supplies.
Australia imports roughly 90% of its refined liquid fuels, meaning the economy functions entirely on continuous supply chains through the Asia-Pacific
We currently hold minimal baseline liquid fuel reserves onshore – about 36 days of petrol, 34 days of diesel, and 32 days of jet fuel. This is well under the International Energy Agency’s 90-day recommendation.
According to Macquarie University, a complete exhaustion of liquid fuels would likely occur within about 6 weeks if total import replenishment stopped completely.
That’s reality.
And it’s all down to the Albanese government not taking urgent action to remedy the situation despite the clear warning provided by the war in the Middle East and closure of the strait of Hormuz.
Instead, Albanese, Wong and Bowen prefer to swan around the region at huge taxpayers’ expense begging for fuel at a premium price while we have enormous supplies of everything we need right under our feet – coal, gas, oil and uranium.
And that brings us to the ridiculous nuclear energy ban enforced by the Albanese government and obsessively driven by Chris Bowen as the relevant Minister.
Intermittent wind and solar have been clearly shown in Europe to negatively impact on grid stability, whereas nuclear provides ongoing stability.
Renewables also have huge backup costs that are usually overlooked in shonky reports by supposed ‘experts’ and billionaire grifters who support the government’s Net Zero policy for their own financial gain.
Meanwhile, many other nations and global tech giants are embracing nuclear energy to support heavy demand for cheap electricity.
The Albanese government’s hypocritical stance is also noteworthy. It allows exports of uranium and supports nuclear propulsion for AUKUS submarines but bans domestic civil nuclear power.
It’s an ideological stance taken by hard-left socialists within the Labor-Greens movement who are harking back to the anti-nuclear ‘Ban the Bomb’ demonstrations that started in the 1950s and resurged in the 1980s.
The Albanese government even resurrected an ancient scare-campaign aimed at nuclear energy during the lead up to the last two elections (see example below).

The fact is, nuclear is one of the safest means of producing energy. It is also emissions-free and does not create the huge damage to the environment and harm to communities that’s associated with massive renewables infrastructure.
Nuclear energy production has also advanced a long way since the 1980s with improved safety systems, passive cooling, and digital controls.
Modern reactors produce less waste, use fuel more efficiently, and feature smaller modular designs that reduce construction costs and deployment times.
Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) are now being built in factories and then transported to sites. Some are so small they can even be fitted onto the back of a pick-up truck.
None of these innovations is recognised by Bowen and the Albanese government.
They are modern-day luddites who won’t acknowledge new technology or ways of creating cheaper and more efficient energy.
And they won’t even tell us how much their Net Zero plan will cost us!
Meanwhile they have just bailed out Tomago Aluminium with taxpayers’ money as a result of the company’s huge increase in energy costs caused by the Albanese government’s total obsession with climate change/global warming.
They are throwing our money at a problem caused by their own incompetence and ideology.
Chris Bowen is the primary culprit behind all this stupidity. He needs to be moved out of his current role before he causes even more harm to our economy.
Perhaps Albo-sleazy could appoint him Ambassador to Iceland – then he would almost certainly survive the climate cultists predicted global warming Armageddon!
