The arrogance of Climate Change & Energy Minister Chris Bowen is breathtaking.

Apart from spending taxpayers’ money on countless overseas trips and gabfests in the Pacific and Türkiye later this year, he has also publicly declared he intends to continue his green-power obsession for a third term following the next election.

This is despite a likely ministerial reshuffle later this year when the Prime Minister will decide who gets each ministerial role.

Bowen has also publicly committed Anthony Albanese to attending his first COP as Prime Minister, which Bowen believes will cement his ridiculous climate change policies at the centre of Labor’s 2028 election campaign.

Bowen has also claimed – to much mockery from everyday Australians – that our nation has benefited from him “working in such a complicated portfolio for five years.”

Many would say that the only people who have “benefited” are the grifters in the renewables industries – together with communist China who has sold to us over 90% of Bowen’s renewables equipment and components.

The Prime Melonster has not committed to attending the COP gabfest in November but he has defended Bowen’s failure to attract world leaders to attend the pre-COP climate meeting in the Pacific Islands.

Fiji and Tuvalu are hosting the lead-up event as part of a compromise after Bowen’s failed bid to host COP31 in Australia.

Reports said Bowen was struggling to convince leaders outside the Pacific to attend a special meeting in Tuvalu before Fiji’s foreign minister, Sakiasi Ditoka, gave the first public account of those going.

He said Antigua and Barbuda, Cabo Verde, Thailand, Maldives and Timor-Leste had so far agreed to send leaders to the event, while Germany, Mexico and South Korea will likely only send ministers. That’s it!

When questioned about attendance at the pre-COP while speaking to media at the Pacific Islands Forum in Palau, Albanese said the government had always anticipated that a pre-COP event would not attract the same level of patronage as COP itself.

“The fact that the pre-COP is being held in Fiji with a side trip to Tuvalu as well is something that is really welcomed because what it will do is provide a focus on what is happening in the Pacific.”

Energy Minister Chris Bowen said pre-COP was a “key opportunity” for the Pacific.

The growing climate risks allegedly confronting the world have been underscored by yet another fear-ridden UN report signed off by António (‘global boiling’) Guterres, the former socialist Prime Minister of Portugal and current UN Secretary-General.

The report has warned that the world will likely reach the mystical 1.5°C increase in global warming in 2030.

Just imagine … 25°C will then become 26.5°C … how terrible is THAT !!!

The Paris Agreement states that signatories should “pursue efforts” to limit warming to1.5°C above pre-industrial times. However, it doesn’t qualify what “efforts” are actually required and there is no penalty if such efforts do not result in decreased global emissions.

It’s a virtue-signalling farce that merely aims to gain national prestige on the world stage for those countries that signed up.

Meanwhile, global emissions have actually increased every year since the treaty was introduced.

And that’s despite all the money wasted by countries like Australia that have introduced intermittent, unreliable and hugely expensive renewables like solar and wind instead of using all the cheap energy resources under our feet.

What has occurred is an increase in worldwide food production due to the heightened level of carbon dioxide (CO2) that has greened the planet, as clearly shown in NASA satellite data.

The 1.5°C target was arbitrarily chosen because the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) indicated that crossing that threshold risks unleashing far more severe climate change impacts.

There was no published rationale behind that choice of percentage and absolutely no evidence of more severe weather events either then or now.

Nonetheless, our Climate Change Authority chairman Matt Kean still contends that urgent climate action remains necessary.

“Every fraction of a degree that we can limit global warming will reduce the danger and reduce the cost,” he said.

The reality is the exact opposite – the Bowen/Kean renewables action has led to higher energy costs and absolutely no impact on climate change/global warming.

That’s because Australia only produces 1% of global emissions and these have been increasing largely as a result of China’s and India’s increased use of fossil fuels to build their economies and, in the case of India, to also improve the lives of its population.

Speaking at the Pacific Islands Forum, Vanuatu’s Climate Change Adaptation & Energy Minister, Ralph Regenvanu, said Australia was not doing enough to curb carbon dioxide emissions.

“The very least a country like Australia should be doing is stopping future expansion, and it’s not doing that. You need to stop expansion, and you need to start transitioning away.”

Note that he didn’t demand the same from China, which consumes more total energy and fossil fuels in 13 days than Australia does in an entire year!

He also omitted to say that several surveys conducted by reputable organisations have shown that many of the Pacific islands have actually increased their land mass in recent years, not decreased.

But heh, why let the truth spoil an opportunistic grab for more funding?!

And that’s especially true when there are people like Albanese and Bowen who are more than happy to send taxpayers’ money to Pacific nations that claim they are being negatively impacted by climate change and that somehow, we are to blame!

To make matters even worse, Bowen’s latest plan is to make it illegal for anyone to voice an opinion on climate change that differs from his ideological narrative that, ironically, is almost entirely based on lies and obfuscation.

The Albanese government is the worst in Australia’s history.

And Chris Bowen is the worst Energy Minister in Australia’s history.

The sooner they go, the better – for all of us.
